About me – there is lot about me but I’ll try to keep this succinct. I enjoy mokitas. You can look that word up. I learned about it on NPR. Hint: It’s not an alcoholic beverage. I read. I talk to people. I sing “Hi-Ho” to my son about 32 times a day. All of these things help me process my life and enjoy it.
When I am not thinking deep thoughts and being overly intense in a first introduction, I enjoy drinking coffee, playing Scrabble, watching movies and making fun of people. I would be remiss to not also mention that I am obsessed with good food, and try to make friends with people who like to cook. Correction: I either make friends with them or marry them. Micah’s cooking is almost as good as his heart, and so I said “I do.” As in, “I do like mangoes sliced and arranged next to exotic cheeses and if you keep this up I’ll have our babies.”
This blog was inspired by some writing I did while on bed rest with my son, titled “Blessed2Rest.” My thoughts about life and god and stuff like that seemed to mean something to other people. Now I write primarily about my son and our conversations, as he is in that wonderful developmental stage that Piaget called “preoperational – intuitive thought” where “there is an emergence in the interest of reasoning and wanting to know why things are the way they are” (wikipedia). Sometimes I’m not sure what is more interesting- Legend’s thought patterns or the fact that I can’t answer most of his questions. Either way – please enjoy!
